Unique Event Held in Dhaka on International Tiger Day to Promote Conservation

On the occasion of International Tiger Day, Srijanshil Pathshala Charuputhi organized a distinctive event at Kalabagan in Dhaka. The day-long program, held on Tuesday from 10 AM to 5 PM, featured a drawing session, a puppet show by Inventors Puppet, and various cultural performances. The primary objective was for children to draw images of the Sundarbans, wildlife, and tigers on a 5,000-foot-long paper roll. This year-long initiative will culminate on the next International Tiger Day.

Following the Dhaka event, the paper roll will travel across the country’s divisional cities in a caravan van, where more children will contribute to this massive artwork. The final creation will be submitted for consideration in the Guinness Book of World Records.

The event was inaugurated by internationally renowned artist Professor Monirul Islam, who emphasized, “Every element of nature plays a vital role in our ecosystem. It is our collective responsibility to protect every tree and animal in the Sundarbans.” Special guests included Professor Dr. Anwarul Islam, CEO of Wild Team, Tanvir Haider Chowdhury, CEO of Kazi Food Industries Limited, and the President of Kalabagan Sports Club. The organizers stated that through this initiative, they aim to inspire people of all ages, especially children and youth, to protect the environment and wildlife, fostering a more just, safe, and sustainable future for the planet.
