Both Bangladesh and Pakistan have expressed keen interest in resuming direct air connectivity between the two nations. On Wednesday (September 3, 2025), at 12:00 PM, a courtesy meeting took place at the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) headquarters in Dhaka between CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md. Mostafa Mahmud Siddique and the Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, Nadir Shafi Dar.
During the meeting, productive discussions were held regarding the resumption of direct flights between the two countries. The matter was confirmed by CAAB’s Assistant Director (Public Relations), Muhammad Kawsar Mahmud, following the meeting.
The discussions also covered technology and expertise exchange in the aviation sector, capacity building, and strengthening mutual cooperation. Both sides expressed optimism that resuming direct flights would enhance trade, tourism, and people-to-people connectivity between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Senior CAAB officials and the Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were also present during the meeting.

বাংলাদেশ ও পাকিস্তানের মধ্যে সরাসরি বিমান চলাচল পুনঃস্থাপনে উভয় দেশই আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেছে। বুধবার (৩ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৫) দুপুর ১২টায় বেসামরিক বিমান চলাচল কর্তৃপক্ষের (বেবিচক) সদর দপ্তরে বেবিচকের চেয়ারম্যান এয়ার ভাইস মার্শাল মো. মোস্তফা মাহমুদ সিদ্দিকের সঙ্গে পাকিস্তান সিভিল এভিয়েশন অথরিটির মহাপরিচালক নাদির শাফি দার সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেন।
সাক্ষাৎকালে দুই দেশের মধ্যে সরাসরি ফ্লাইট চালুর বিষয়ে ফলপ্রসূ আলোচনা হয়। বৈঠক শেষে বেবিচকের সহকারী পরিচালক (জনসংযোগ) মুহাম্মাদ কাউছার মাহমুদ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন।
বৈঠকে বিমান চলাচল খাতে প্রযুক্তি ও অভিজ্ঞতা বিনিময়, সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি এবং পারস্পরিক সহযোগিতা আরও জোরদার করার বিষয়ে আলোচনা হয়। উভয় পক্ষ আশা প্রকাশ করেন যে, সরাসরি বিমান চলাচল পুনঃস্থাপন হলে দুই দেশের বাণিজ্য, পর্যটন ও জনগণের পারস্পরিক যোগাযোগ আরও বৃদ্ধি পাবে।
এ সময় বেবিচকের উচ্চপদস্থ কর্মকর্তারা এবং পাকিস্তান ইন্টারন্যাশনাল এয়ারলাইন্স (পিআইএ)-এর প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
